She's genetle and likes animals. She's also happy,loving and caring. She's basically my own heart. (Thus her name. xD) Heart also likes the sky and cats like me. 8D

Story behind the piece:

This piece is dedicated to two old friends, Moon Face (black and white) and Biscuit (orange). I met them both at seperate times, but they both hold a special place within my heart, hence why I drew the persona of my Heart here.

I first saw Moon Face in a parking lot behind an apartment building about six years ago, and as I often do when I see a cat, I approached him. He was an old cat, quite skinny, with a frail, but cute, meow. Despite his circumstances, he wasn't cold or bitter, infact, he was affectionate and happy to have some company. After school, I would go see him, and these brief visits gave me some joy despite the school problems that were beginning to surface. He would always nudge my leg with his head, purr when I pet him, and talk to me, despite his weak meow.

One day, a woman from the apartment building saw me with him, and she told me that Moon Face is his name. She said that his owners abandoned him when they moved out of the building. I didn't know why someone would want to abandon such a sweet and loving cat, and I definitely knew that he didn't deserve it at all. Eventually, I stopped seeing Moon Face in the parking lot when I'd go to visit him. One day I'll know what happened to him, but even if Moon Face hasn't passed on, he still deserves these wings because he is truly an angel.

My story with Biscuit is much longer, but I'll shorten it for you all. The first time I saw Biscuit was in the yard of my apartment building, eight years ago. Noticing how skinny she was, I ran upstairs and grabbed a can of cat food for her (I have a cat of my own). When I opened the can and set it down, she dove into it as if she hadn't eaten in days. Afterward, she let me pet her, and I was happy to see that she wasn't fearful of people like many stray cats are.

I tried to visit Biscuit as much as possible, as well as provide her with food to eat. We developed a bond, and this became obvious to me when she risked her life one day simply to greet me. On this day, when she saw me across the street with my family, she began to run toward me, unaware that a car was quickly approaching her. I panicked, and my dad screamed at the driver, telling him to watch out for Biscuit, but fortunately, she was unharmed. She kindly greeted me and my family, and I could tell that she was enjoying our attention, purring each time she was rubbed by either of us.

Eventually, I found Biscuit a home. I'd given her to one of my neighbors, aswell as some cat food so she wouldn't have to go out and get some at that very moment. About a week after that, I saw Biscuit outside on a rainy day. I was shocked and confused. As I approached her, she stared at me for a moment, then she dashed off. Crying and angry, I ran upstairs and asked my neighbor about Biscuit, and she told me that she couldn't afford to feed her. I thought this was a sad excuse, because I would have willingly given her some cat food if she'd asked.

After this, I stopped seeing Biscuit around. My father told me that two nice people picked her up and brought her home, but after a couple of years, my mom told me what actually happened to her. She was killed by getting hit by a car, and the driver probably didn't care. The driver just saw a cat, they didn't see her as "Biscuit" or "someone's best friend", and although I miss her, it's okay... I know that this little angel is right where she belongs.
