Update: 7-25-12

I will no longer be helping with art theft cases due to some issues. I'd rather not put my account in jeopardy for suspension/ban anymore. =< Sorry.

Big news: After a few months, the person I was going after finally got banned. =3 It just shows if you don't give up, thieves WILL be stopped eventually. I am happy to say that all 5 of the thieves I've gotten after have given up or been banned. =3

I decided to draw a little Sakura cop chibi since she's been so into catching art thieves lately. Her most recent case, involving user -name I can't give out at this time-, has received both positive and negative attention. More information below and in our journal: [link]

People have called Sakura a jealous troll, seriously? Are these people too busy admiring certain aspects of -name can't be given at this time- photos to see that many of them are very low in quality, as though they're screen shots from a video? Come on. People have told her, "This isn't your work, so GTFO. You shouldn't care." That's like saying that cops or doctors shouldn't help people simply because they don't know them personally.

And of course the people who support her, have called her a DeviantArt cop, hence the name and idea for this piece. xD Now I'll let Sakura speak~

I find art thieves easily and have won over each one up to date. I've successfully stopped 3, and made one pretty much go into hiding. As in, they've removed their journal and disabled comments, meaning they wont get many good reviews for work that they didnt do.

Edit: I had a list for thieves, but forgot users can get in trouble by DA by listing people as thieves and such I guess. owo So I won't be able to go through with my plan of catching thieves and posting them. Dx Sorry. ;A;!!

I also thought the background for this chibi should be black blob people with hearts around them in admiration of me. x3 Since many of the people I know call the a DA cop. =>

I'll try to submit this to the "featured" folder in groups, not for my benefit, for the benefit to help stop theft. =3

Note: Please don't comment me asking to stop a thief. =< I might not have the time to work on the case. (Lol I sound like I'm staff. x3) BUT, feel free to send a note and I'll see what I can do. =3

I did that too actually~ And thanks.

I was wrongly suspended once for trying to do a good deed, but DA was basically blind to the person's wrongdoings and the fact the person had 51+ accounts and kept deactivating to prevent banning. =<; So I got in trouble instead. @_@

Since then, I don't even wanna go on the cop account I made lol. D; I feel ANY little thing I do related to theft could put my account into trouble. >_<;

But I'm glad you're helping against theft too.

i hurd that DA duse that to ppl that are trying to help, so i don't even let ppl know that i'm reporting them i just let the original artist know i also use it to find adoptable's art frod so i can keep my adoptable group safe from stolen art. it's made a big diffident in that regard.
